Kerr rotation signals measured in a 5-nm (Fe_0.81Ga_0.19) under 10-GHz and 80-MHz optical excitation

Data presented in the article 'Resonant thermal energy transfer to magnons in a ferromagnetic nanolayer' Authors: Michal Kobecki, Alexey V. Scherbakov, Tetiana L. Linnik, Serhii M. Kukhtaruk, Vitalyi E. Gusev, Debi P. Pattnaik, Ilya A. Akimov, Andrew W. Rushforth, Andrey V. Akimov, and Manfred Bayer There are four folders containing raw data of the Kerr rotation signals 1) three folders includes the data obtained at 10-GHz optical excitation for three excitation powers 95mW, 55mW and 30mW; In each folder there are files with the raw signals which names correspond to the external magnetic field values in mT. A background file, which is included into each folder, contains the background signal of the system, which has to be subtracted from the raw signals in order to obtain the correct waveform of the Kerr rotation signal. The signals were measured in a differential scheme and the calibration coefficient between the measured voltage and the Kerr rotation angle (in radians) is a=5E-4 (KR angle = a*voltage). Each folder includes also the 'RMS values' file, which contains the processed data with the Root Mean Square amplitudes for each signal. 2) one folder includes the data obtained at 80-MHz optical excitation for single excitation power of 250 mW. The second part of the file name indicates the strength of the external magnetic field. The calibration coefficient between the measured voltage and the Kerr rotation angle (in radians) is a=7E-3 (KR angle = a*voltage).
