This is sponsered by the Dept. of Polar Programs of NSF as a geological and geophysical investigation of the Scotia Sea, the South America-Antartica Ridge and surrounding areas. Dredges will be made along the Ridge in order to study the petrologic variations along a low spreading ridge.
