A custom dsrB gene (dissimilatory sulfite reductase B) reference database with 19,031 sequences and assigned taxonomy for studying sulphate reducers with metabarcoding. Sequences in database were extracted from GenBank 23.8.2023. In the database, seven taxonomic levels are associated with each dsrB sequence in the following order: kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species, with undefined levels recorded as uncultured. The database is in DADA2 format.
