Costa Rica: total meadows and pastures area 2000-2016

The area occupied by permanent meadows and pastures in Costa Rica has been decreasing since the beginning of the present century. In 2016, approximately 12 thousand square kilometers of land in this country were used to grow herbaceous forage crops, either cultivated or wild. In 2000, this area extended over approximately 13.5 thousand square kilometers. This represents a decrease of over 10 percent.

自本世纪初以来，哥斯达黎加永久草地和牧场的占地面积呈现持续减少的趋势。至2016年，该国约有1.2万平方公里的土地被用于种植草本饲料作物，包括栽培和野生两种类型。而在2000年，这一面积约为1.35万平方公里。这一变化体现了超过10个百分点的减少。
