资源简介:
This dataset contains human subject responses and acoustic feature annotations from a listening experiment designed to validate Spherical Acoustic Spatial Entropy (SASE), a novel information-theoretic metric of spatial complexity for virtual acoustic environments. 21 participants (anonymized IDs P01-P21) each completed 23-24 trials, resulting in 500 observations. For each trial, participants listened to a 10-second signal (containing speech in noise) and typed the utterance they heard on a PsychoPy user interface. They then rated perceived complexity, listening effort, and perceived spatial spread on a 0-10 scale. Experimental conditions varied in masker count, spatial distribution, and motion of sound sources. Alongside the perceptual ratings, the dataset includes aggregated acoustic descriptors computed over a window when speech was active and a full-scene 10-second window for: SASE, energy entropy, and spectral entropy (means and standard deviations). All identifiers have been anonymized, and no personally identifying information is included.
