Mysis diluviana data for CSMI 2013 from Lake Ontario

This database includes data from all large-mesh whole-water-column vertical net tows used to collect M. diluviana as part of the 2013 CSMI effort in Lake Ontario. These data were collected to allow the first estimation of lake-wide annual population dynamics of M. diluviana in Lake Ontario since 1995. The information necessary for these estimates is provided in this database. Three tables are included: SurveyData, VisitData, and MaturesData. These data were also collected for use in conjunction with results of several simultaneous efforts primarily focused on understanding spatial and food-web ecology of lower trophic levels (including M. diluviana) and prey fish. Several other relevant datasets exist. For instance, two M. diluviana datasets collected from Lake Ontario in 2013 were excluded from this dataset: 1) several large-mesh vertical net tows for M. diluviana which were sampled only a portion of the water column, and 2) a substantial volume of hydroacoustic data containing information on M. diluviana abundance, biomass, and fine-scale distribution patterns in the water column. Several other datasets exist, including (but not limited to) information regarding concentrations, densities, and distributions of: physical properties, chlorophyll, and algal, zooplankton, and prey fish communities.
