Live Attenuated Salmonella Typhimurium vaccine and vaccine diluent effects on caecal mucosal immune system in laying chickens

Live Attenuated Salmonella Typhimurium vaccine was reconstituted in Marek's or water diluent and administered to day old laying chickens. Caecal tissue was collected at day 7 and 14 post-vaccination for RNA extraction and transcriptomics. The sequencing data showed that vaccine regulated many genes involved in mucosal system regulation with a pattern of difference observed due to the vaccine diluent.
