Flash Eurobarometer 351 (The Cooperation and Verification Mechanism for Bulgaria and Romania)

Attitude towards the EU Cooperation and Verification Mechanism for Bulgaria and Romania.<br>Topics: importance of the following problems in the own country: shortcomings in the judicial system, corruption, organized crime (only in BG); assessment of the development of the aforementioned issues compared to five years ago; attitude towards the EU having a role in tackling each of the aforementioned problems in the own country; knowledge of the EU Cooperation and Verification Mechanism to support the own country in reaching the standards to tackle each of the aforementioned problems; assessment of the impact of the EU action through the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism as positive regarding these problems; preference regarding the duration of the EU action through the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism: action should continue until the own country is at a standard comparable to other EU member states, action should be phased out over the coming years, or action should be stopped now.
