Incipient landforms are susceptible to rapid fluctuations, which in turn determine the trajectory of landscape development. Here, we evaluated microbial community structure and function of an incipient soil system that was subjected to periodic hydrological perturbations. We assess community dynamics,pre and post precipitation events, metagenome sequencing.
