In 2023, transmission and distribution of energy brought in the most EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) at roughly 8.75 billion Emirati dirhams. Oil and gas was the only segment with a decline in EBITDA, falling from 6.2 billion Emirati dirhams in 2022 to approximately four billion Emirati dirhams in 2023. TAQA is an energy holding company owned by the government of Abu Dhabi. Its ventures span beyond the United Arab Emirates, investing in energy projects worldwide.
