Dataset represents molecular operational taxonomic units (MOTU) table with taxonomic identities from the barcoded sea-haul Calanus individuals, identified using mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase gene (COI) genetic identification method. Zooplankton net samples were collected during summer seasons 2019–2021 in Svalbard waters from the upper 50 m water layer. Each file represents results (reads and sequences) for 96 Calanus individuals of the fifth copepodite stage (CV). Detailed methodology is fully described in Balazy et al. 2023 Molecular tools prove little auks from Svalbard are extremely selective for Calanus glacialis even when exposed to Atlantification.
