Since the whole genome sequencing published by Broad Institute in 2007, the annotation of F. graminearum has undergone 6 versions of improvement . The most widely used genome annotation is still the version released by Broad Institute in 2010. However, gene annotation information is mainly from the automatic gene prediction process, lacking annotated untranslated regions (UTRs), transcript isoform and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). In addition, gene annotation lacks the support of RNA-Seq leads to limited improvement in annotation quality. These errors affect the follow-up gene function analysis and gene function research.In view of this, we applied Iso-Seq to genome and transcriptome sequencing in F. graminearum.
