Extended Agriculture-Vision Dataset (AV+)

The Extended Agricultural Vision Dataset (AV+) is a large-scale aerial image dataset specifically designed for agricultural pattern analysis. Co-developed by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Intelinair, this dataset contains 3600 high-resolution (10 cm per pixel) full-field RGB and near-infrared images for unsupervised pre-training. The dataset construction process involves selecting 1200 fields from the 2019-2020 growing seasons, with three images captured per field to document farmland conditions across different growth stages. The application scenarios of the AV+ dataset include agricultural pattern recognition, crop health monitoring, and precision agriculture. It aims to help farmers timely identify problematic areas in farmlands via high-resolution aerial images to optimize management decision-making.
