Expression data from cancer cells and fibroblasts populations

Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition is a complex process that occurs in development and cancer metastasis. We show that EMT plasticity occurs in cancer cells when co-culture with fibroblasts. We used microarrays to detail the global program of gene expression in the H69 small-cell lung carcinoma line when in direct contact with CCD8 fibroblasts. H69 and CCD8 cells from control (CT), indirect (INS), and direct (MIX) contact were sorted for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. All samples were collected from one time-point (72h).
