Recent advances and peri-postoperative care in cancer

ABSTRACT: Background: Cancer is a health issue all around the world and surgery is still an important way to treat many people who have solid tumor. Cancer surgery needs care before during and after the operation because patients might have serious illness, anemia, problems with food other health issues or they might have had cancer treatment before. Making sure to check the patient before the operation giving anesthesia stopping infections using the right ways in the operating room watching the patient during the operation dealing with blood loss and taking good care after the operation are all important for the patient’s safety and recovery. Still problems after the operation can happen and can make the recovery harder. Make the time in the hospital longer. Watching the care during the operation and the problems after the operation can help find places where better care and new ideas in cancer treatment are needed. Materials and Methods: An observational study will take place in a chosen hospital with adult patients who are having surgery because of cancer. Data will be gathered using a set form from the patients and from the hospital records. Details about age, gender, type of cancer and where it is, other health problems what was found before the operation, type of surgery type of anesthesia how long the surgery lasted how much blood was lost if blood was given what happened during the operation what problems happened after the operation if the patient went to the ICU and how long they stayed in the hospital will be written down. The study will. Collect data but will not change the care the patients get. The data collected will be looked at with the ways to describe and find out what is happening. Results: The study will show the details about the patients the types of cancer surgery done, the care given before during and after the operation and how often. In what way problems happen after the operation. The results will also look at some links between what happened during the operation and what happened after including if the patient went to the ICU and how long they stayed in the hospital. The results will come from the data that was collected during the study time. The study is expected to give a picture of the care given before during and after the operation for people having cancer surgery. The results may help find areas in the care before during and after the operation that need to be better like getting the patient ready, before the operation stopping infections watching the patient during the operation handling blood watching the patient after the operation and helping them get better faster. These observations may help make the care safer and help make ways to do cancer surgery.
