Dataset: Contributions of Organic and Mineral Matter to Vertical Accretion in Tidal Wetlands across a Chesapeake Bay Subestuary

This data release contains sediment cores collected from five tidal marsh sites along the Nanticoke River in August 2008. This dataset contains information on organic matter, dry bulk density, and total Pb210 activity for 15 sediment cores. These data were used in an analysis of vertical accretion in the tidal wetlands of this Chesapeake Bay subestuary, which is available in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (Allen et al, 2021; DOI: 10.3390/jmse9070751).
