This dataset holds disaster records during snowmelt flood events in the Xinjiang region, covering the years 1984 to 2020. It was compiled based on collected and surveyed meteorological disaster data within the Xinjiang area. The dataset includes eight categories of attribute information: names of cities (prefectures, autonomous prefectures), counties (districts, county-level cities), disaster occurrence sites, longitude, latitude, record year, disaster end date, and observed meteorological elements. This dataset can be employed to visualize the spatiotemporal distribution of snowmelt floods in the Xinjiang region between 1984 and 2020, and facilitate studies on snowmelt flood disasters in Xinjiang
