Phylip formated sequence alignment of 77 chloroplast genes for 7 Ricotia and some other Brassicaceae species

We used customized Perl scripts to extract these 77 protein-coding genes (PCGs) from the Genbank formatted sequences and annotations. Besides seven <i>Ricotia</i> plastomes newly assembled in this study, we also included sequences of 11 other species available from Genbank to cover all major clades of Brassicaceae. After removing start and end codons, each PCG was aligned using PRANK v.130410 according to the translated amino acid sequences. Ambiguous alignment regions were trimmed by using Gblocks 0.91b with (−t = c) option to set sequence type to codons; otherwise the default settings were assumed.
