In order to evaluate the effect of pea-barley association on the root fungal community and on pea root rot incidence, a two-year intercropping field study was conducted including five pea cultivars (Vitra, Alvesta, Karpate, Mytic and Respect) grown under the two cropping systems: 1) in pure stands, or 2) mixed with one barley cultivar (Atrika).
