Childcare enrollment

This dataset includes monthly reports of employment, maximum capacity, and enrollment at all licensed childcare facilities in North Carolina from January 2019 to the present, including both in-home childcare and childcare centers. As a result, this dataset is generally comprehensive, although it does not capture informal and ad hoc childcare arrangements that do not submit state reporting. The statistical detail reports provide monthly summaries of enrollment at each licensed facility in North Carolina, and is available within a few weeks of the end of each month to download as a PDF file. The detail reports include breakdowns in enrollment by shift, age of children, and facility license type, as well as information about maximum slots, number of facilities per county, and employment at each facility and at the county aggregate.
