ShipRes software

ShipRes computes the added resistance of the ship in regular and irregular waves using a set of five Artificial Neural Networks. The results of model tests for 19 ships were used to train the ANNs. The basic ship parameters such as length between perpendiculars, breadth, draught, block coefficient and Froude number were the inputs to these ANNs. The ShipRes binaries for MAC OS (ShipRes.dmg) and Windows (ShipResWin.zip), as well as the Pascal source code (ShipRes_src.zip), are available for download below. Lazarus IDE was used to develop and compile ShipRes. The Lazarus project files (ShipRes_src.zip) are also listed below.
