Van Allen Probes MagEIS sensor response functions

We provide the NASA Van Allen Probes MagEIS electron spectrometers’ response function files and a detailed README document that details their format and use. The full 3D (energy-angle-angle) response files are provided in HDF5 format, along with 1D isotropic response function files in CSV format. The necessary lookup tables are also provided.  Details on the Geant4 simulations and the energy/angular response of the sensors are provided in the Space Science Reviews manuscript “The Magnetic Electron Ion Spectrometer: A Review of On-Orbit Sensor Performance, Data, Operations, and Science” by Claudepierre et al.
