资源简介:
Pectobacterium atrosepticum (Pba) and Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis (Pbr) are hemibiotrophic/necrotrophic bacterial plant pathogens belonging to the soft rot Enteorbacteriaceae (SRE) family, and are responsible for blackleg disease on potato stems during the growing season and soft rot of tubers post-harvest. In this study RNA sequencing technology was used to determine the molecular interaction in potato tubers challenged with Pba SCRI1043 or Pbr ICMP19477. In addition to understanding the host response to pectobacteria, the role of CFA in the virulence of the pathogens and their mode of action in the host plant was also explored. Determining the induced defence response in potato tubers is key to implement effective control strategies against Pectobacterium spp., as these pathogens are seed borne and their spread is primarily dependent on contaminated seed tubers.
