A price survey conducted across all supermarkets nationwide revealed that the average price for 100g of salted plums in October 2024 was 277 yen. Over the period from January 2015 to October 2024 (a span of 118 months), the highest price for salted plums was recorded in September 2024 at 277 yen, while the lowest price was in May 2016 at 187 yen. The price difference between the peak and trough periods for salted plums nationwide (September 2024 for the highest price and May 2016 for the lowest price) was 90.7037 yen.
