Project Title: DISC Recording in Macaque Monkey Auditory Cortex
Project Description: All experimental procedures were appoved by NKI-IACUC.
DISC probe was acutely inserted into awake macaque monkey auditory cortex through a craniotomy inside an implanted chamber.
DISC probe had 64 electrodes on the surface of its shaft body (800 micrometers diameter). 8 electrodes linearly arranged with 250 micrometers intervals along the shaft were placed parallely in 8 directions (every 45 degrees) when looked over the shaft's cross section.
In tono14no, 15 sounds (14 pure tones: 354, 500, 717, 1000, 1414, 2000, 2828, 4000, 5656, 8000, 11312, 16000, 22624, 32000 (Hz), and broad-band noise) are delivered at 60 dB in pseudo-random order.
"sub-1" to "sub-03" were 3 different penetrations of DISC probe into the left hemisphere of one animal.
