资源简介:

The SOMISA project investigates the securitization of migration in South Asia, with particular focus on the Rohingya crisis and its implications for India and Bangladesh. It critically examines how migration is framed as a security threat, and the consequences of this framing for refugees, host populations, and national security policy. Drawing on securitization theory, the research combines discourse/document analysis of government policy documents, official statements, and media coverage with fieldwork-based expert and stakeholder interviews conducted in India and Bangladesh, to explore the intersection of migration, security, and human rights in the South Asian context.
