Data from: A socially polymorphic Formica ant species exhibits a novel distribution of social supergene genotypes. Formica francoeuri

The project aims to characterize patterns of genetic variation in Formica francoeuri across a large portion of the species' range. These data are used to investigate the genetic architecture of alternative modes of social organization, known to be associated with alternative supergene haplotypes in other well studied species. This study highlights diversity in the genetic mechanisms that contribute to the evolution of supergenes and the complex phenotypes associated with them.
