LGBTQ Europe: experience of physical or sexual attacks in last five years 2019

The countries where the greatest share of LGBTI respondents in Europe indicated that they have been the victims of homophobic, transphobic, or other gender or sexuality based violence in the past five years were North Macedonia, Serbia, and Poland in 2019. Almost a fifth of respondents from North Macedonia indicated they were assaulted due to their sexuality or gender identity, while at the other end of the scale, only five percent of respondents in Portugal indicated that they were assaulted.
