Income Advantage of Crop Diversification over Mono-Cropping Practices

The income data were collected for two cropping patterns as mono-cropping and crop diversification. In addition to this, income data were collected for all the mono-crop varieties and diversified crop varieties. At global scale, the income data given in various currencies and it has converted into Indian Rupees (INR). Therefore, the income data were given as in the form of rupees. For the income advantage, the statistical significance of income of the crop diversification was coded as 1, and statistically insignificant income of crop diversification was coded as 0. In the presence of explicit information or discussion on influencing factors of crop diversification such as farm size, soil fertility, land use efficiency, accessed credit facility, resource adequacy, cost of production, certified seed / seed, fertilizer / pesticide, irrigation facility, efficient water use, labour engagement / manpower, shifting to their crops during monsoons, time availability, and price are considered as the variables. Those data are in the form of binary data (availability of variable content, yes – 1; unavailability of variable content, no – 0). The raw data were given in csv format.
