BIOTROPH - Molecular Ecology

A data set for the project ‘BIOTROPH’. The aim of this study was to estimate functional role of the taxonomic diversity of available resources in the field on trophic exposure of small mammals (wood mice ‘Apodemus sylvaticus’) to trace metals (TM; principally cadmium, lead and zinc).
The data was composed of (i) TM concentration in soils around the traps for capturing rodents (data from another project ‘STARTT’); (ii) captured wood mice; (iii) diet of wood mice by using the biomolecular analysis ‘metabarcoding’; (vi) abundance (cover-abundance) of plants of three strata (tree, shrub and herb) and abundance (number of individuals) of both ground-dwelling and flying invertebrates collected around the traps for rodents.
