Manuscript and Print Sources of Latin Jerome’s Abbreviated Psalter This dataset contains a provisional catalogue of manuscript and printed witnesses of Latin Jerome’s Abbreviated Psalter (Psalterium Sancti Hieronymi) dating from approximately the ninth to the sixteenth century. It was compiled as supporting material for a study devoted to the transmission, reception, and use of this devotional text in medieval Europe. The spreadsheet includes basic codicological and bibliographical information on individual witnesses, including: author or attributed author, manuscript or print title, type of source (manuscript/print), date, place of origin, patron, scribe, or printer, present repository, shelfmark, foliation, bibliographical references, links to digitized copies where available. The dataset represents a working and continuously expandable catalogue based on previous scholarship, manuscript catalogues, and the author’s own survey of sources. Owing to the large number and dispersal of surviving witnesses, it should not be regarded as exhaustive.
