RLH01 Centrifuge Test of Prefabricated Drains

This experiment is a model of a liquefiable lateral spread site that spreads towards a channel. Three soil improvement treatment zones are included: untreated, treated with non-draining tubes, and treated with draining tubes. The area with non-draining tubes was included to investigate pinning effects introduced by the tubes. Instrumentation included pore pressure transducers, LVDTs, and accelerometers. Earthquake motions and sinusoidal motions were used as the seismic excitation.
