The Hawaii limited access longline logbook summary report, January to June 2018

The tables in this report represent preliminary summaries of effort, retained catch (kept) and discards (released) as reported on longline log sheets for the Hawaii limited-access longline fishery. To satisfy confidentiality and RFMO reporting standards, data from the California-based longline fishery are also included in this report. Effort and catch statistics are summarized from logbook data submitted to the PIFSC, FRMD and are based on date of longline haul. The statistics originate from an Oracle table HICA20180904 RFMO 5x5 NON CONF database extraction done on 5 September 2018. When a statistic (number of vessels, trips) can involve dates of haul in two summary periods (i.e., years, semi-annual, or quarters) the item is counted in both summary periods. Thus, a vessel or trip total is for "partial or completed" vessel or trip summary.
