We place an 1898 strain of Hawaiian Avipoxvirus in phylogenetic context using maximum likelihood trees of 9 conserved genes (4b core protein, DNA polymerase, mRNA capping enzyme large subunit, NTPase, P4a, RAP94, RPO132, RPO147, VETFL).We provide consensus Avipoxvirus genome sequences for the USNM 169333 (amakihi_avipox_genome.fa) and CamMZ-27/Cor/5/gg/8 (alala_avipox_genome.fa) specimens.The 82 GenBank sequence 4b core protein presented in Figure 1 is given in 4b_core_protein.nwk, while the extended dataset (529 sequences from GenBank) is available in 4b_core_protein_Extended.nwk.
