Primary human TM cells were grown to confluence and treated with 100nM DEX for 16 h and 7d. Total RNA was extracted from cultured HTM cells after treatment with 100nM DEX for either 16h or 7d and RNA sequencing was carried out. For comparison, the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were segregated into five groups: Group A: DEGs between DEX and ethanol (ETH) treated for short duration (16h); Group B: DEGs between DEX and ETH treated for longer duration (7d); Group C: DEGs overlapping between Group A and Group B; Group D: Uniquely expressed DEGs of HTM cells exposed for 16h (Group A minus Group C); Group E: Uniquely expressed DEGs of HTM cells exposed for 7d (Group B minus Group C) and further validated by qPCR.
