To determine the transcription programs controlled by Bcr1 in C. albicans and C. dubliniensis during filamentation, RNA-seq was performed in the bcr1 mutants of both species under two filamentation inducing conditions: (1) transfer from Lee's medium (pH 4.5) to water supplemented with 10 percentage fetal bovine serum and (2) transfer from Lee's medium (pH 4.5) to water supplemented with 10 percentage Lee's medium. Triplicate replicate samples were collected after one hour of transfer to the inducing conditions for total RNA extraction. RNA-seq was also performed in the parental strains in the same conditions to determine differentially expressed genes that depend on Bcr1.
