Effects of estradiol valerate on Th1/Th2 cells in total hysterectomy BALB/c mice

Objective To investigate the effect of estradiol valerate on Th1/Th2 cells in total hysterectomy BALB/c mice.Methods The mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model group and treatment group, the mice in the treatment group were given estradiol valerate by gavage on the 6th day after operation, while the control group and the model group were given equal volume of sterile water for treatment, once a day for 15 days; KLH was injected subcutaneously on the 5th and 12th day after treatment; The changes of lymphocyte subsets(CD4+, CD8+) and Th1,Th2 cells were detected by flow cytometry; TDAR test was performed using immune microsphere technology.Results Compared with the control group, theproportion of CD4+ and CD8+subsets, the content of antibody IgG and the levels of Th1and Th2 cytokines in the modelgroup decreased(P<0.05), and the ratio of Th1/Th2 increased slightly. After treatment with estradiol valerate, the above indexes recovered to varying degrees, but the ratio of Th1/Th2 decreased, compared with the model group (P<0.01), and the immune function of the body was induced to be biased in the direction of humoral immunity.Conclusion Estradiol valerate can enhance antigen-stimulated antibody production in mice undergoing total hysterectomy through the Th1/Th2 pathway.
