Electrochemical Direct C–H Fluorination of Hydrazones

In this work, we present a mild and
efficient electrochemical
method
for the direct C–H fluorination of aldehyde hydrazones using
KF as an inexpensive and readily available fluorine source. This direct
electrochemical approach could tolerate various functional groups,
affording a diverse collection of (Z)-fluorinated
hydrazones. Cyclic voltammetry and associated mechanistic investigations
were conducted to provide insight into the radical mechanistic pathway.
