Gene expression signatures in HCC cell lines transfected with a miR-199a-3p mimic molecule

To clarify the role of miR-199a-3p in HCC, we carried out a gene expression microarray analysis using HCC cell lines (HLE and HLF) transfected with a miR-199a-3p mimic or a negative control. We found that 819 genes were downregulated (>2-fold) by miR-199a-3p in both cell lines. HCC cell lines HLE and HLF were transfected with a mirVana miR-199a-3p mimic (Thermo Fisher Scientific) or a mirVana miRNA mimic Negative Control (Thermo Fisher Scientific). Seventy-two hours after transfection, total RNA was extracted and gene expression signatures were analyzed.
