Whole Transcriptome Sequencing of King Chilli from Manipur for identification of genes involved in biosynthesis of capsaicinoids and carotenoids

Whole Transcriptome Sequencing was done from samples of Capsicum chinense King Chilli from Manipur for identification of genes involved in biosynthesis of capsaicinoids and capsinoids, besides carotenoids. This basic work would enable us to understand the characteristic flavour and aroma profiles in chilli in comparison with other Capsicum sp.
