Diutina catenulata Genome sequencing and assembly

We documented a cluster of Diutina catenulata (formerly Candida catenulata) responsible for funguria in a COVID-19 tertiary care facility in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This report elucidates the clinical manifestations observed in patients infected with this uncommon pathogen, details the phenotypic traits of this yeast species including both macroscopic and microscopic features, assesses the antifungal resistance profile of this opportunistic pathogen, and characterizes its genetic composition through comprehensive whole genome sequencing analysis.
