Metabarcoding data of Frankia sp.

Frankia sp. is nitrogen-fixing actinomycetes. It forms root nodules on actinorhizal plants, including Alnus, Myrica, and Casuarina plants, to mutualistically interact with the plants. The bacteria are not found from only host roots but also soil without their hosts. This project includes amplicon sequencing data of Frankiaceae-specific nifD-K intergenic spacer region, using MiSeq. This project aims to investigate genetic diversity of Frankia in host root nodules and soil in natural environments and to elucidate how microsymbionts assemblages into host plants from surrounding pools.
