Plants were collected within the property boundaries of Murray State University's Hancock Biological Station (HBS), located in northeast Calloway County, Kentucky and a few other localities. Specimens were identified, pressed, and archived. For each specimen collected, data were recorded for date, genus, species, subspecies, authors, common name, location, habitat, collector, relative abundance, and life form. The earliest collection from the HBS grounds was in 1969 and several were made in 1981 and 1982. The majority of the plants were collected between 1998 and the present. The purpose of the data set is to provide a record of the vascular plant life in the area and increase the accessibility of herbarium specimen data.
