Two-Story Wood Building Test

This testing program is a full scale sake table test of a two-story mass timber building at NHERI@UCSD facility. The building is a wood building built with glulam beams and columns with Cross Laminated Panel (CLT) floors. The lateral system is an innovative CLT rocking wall system with post-tensioning to enable self-centering of the building after major earthquakes. It is part of a six-university collaborative project "NHERI Tallwood Project", which runs from 2016 to 2020 and contains other testing programs that are to be conducted in the next 2 years. Future testing programs will be added to DesignSafe as they become available and linked to this publication. The participating universities include Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, University of Washington, Washington State University, University of Nevada at Reno, and Lehigh University.
