14C-daterade järnframställningsplatser i Sverige/Radiocarbon dated Bloomery sites in Sweden

A compilation of analysed radiocarbon samples from iron production in bloomery furnaces in Sweden. The samples are collected from different types of features associated with direct iron production in bloomeries, such as furnaces, slag heaps charcoal production features etc. The dataset contains more than 1200 analysed samples, a large majority of all analysed samples from prehistoric iron production in Sweden. The compilation was done in 2023 as part of the research project Den tidiga järnframställningens Kronologi.
