2013年～2022年 日本の観光業の貢献度

2022年には、国内旅行支出が約95.2パーセントを生み出したのに対し、外国人旅行支出は約4.8パーセントを占めました。コロナ禍前には、国内観光業は約18.4パーセントを占め、増加傾向にありました。
日本のインバウンド観光業の現状
日本へのインバウンド観光はコロナ禍前の10年間で3倍以上に成長しており、日本の国際観光からの収入は世界でトップ10に入るほどでした。また、外国人観光客による観光支出も大幅に増加していました。
収益をあげている国内旅行の分野
国内旅行を目的別に見ると、支出の大半はレジャー旅行によるものでした。旅行形態別では、宿泊旅行の観光支出は、日帰り旅行の3倍以上でした。

In 2022, domestic travel expenditures accounted for approximately 95.2 percent, while foreign travel expenditures constituted around 4.8 percent. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the domestic tourism sector had been occupying about 18.4 percent and was on an upward trend. The inbound tourism industry in Japan has grown more than threefold over the past decade before the pandemic, with Japan's international tourism income ranking among the top 10 globally. Moreover, the expenditure by foreign tourists on tourism had also significantly increased. When examining domestic travel by purpose, the majority of expenditures were for leisure trips. In terms of travel type, the expenditure on accommodation tourism was over three times that of day trips.
