Complete genome sequence of Prevotella bivia harboring nimK isolated from a human patient

Prevotella bivia is a clinically significant anaerobic Gram-negative bacilli that harbours the nimK gene. This strain, which exhibited a high minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) value for metronidazole, was isolated from a clinical specimen. The nim gene, which is involved in metronidazole resistance, is present in a very rare manner. In this study, we present the complete genome sequence of Prevotella bivia harbouring nimK, which was isolated from a human clinical specimen in Japan. The whole genome sequence of this strain was determined. The sequencing was performed through a combination of long-read sequencing by nanopore (Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Tokyo, Japan) and short-read sequencing by DNBSEQ (MGITech Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China).
