This dataset presents stem BVOC (biogenic volatile organic compound) fluxes from six temperate tree species measured under field conditions in May and June 2025. Measurements were conducted during midday (13:00-15:00 CEST), a period chosen to capture peak physiological activity and flux rates, in the municipal forest of Ettenheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The study site is located in a temperate mixed forest ecosystem at the transition between the Upper Rhine Valley and the Black Forest and is characterized by a diverse tree species composition. BVOC fluxes are reported in μg m-2 h-1 and were obtained using stem-based sampling approaches designed to quantify BVOC fluxes directly at the stem surface. Samples were collected from six representative tree species: Quercus robur (Qr), Fagus sylvatica (Fs), Larix decidua (Ld), Pseudotsuga menziesii (Pm), Abies alba (Aa), and Picea abies (Pa), covering both broadleaf and coniferous functional types.
