The evolution of seasonal camouflage in white-tailed jackrabbits

The aim of this project was to dissect the genetic basis and evolution of polymorphic seasonal camouflage in white-tailed jackrabbits. We used low-coverage whole genome resequenced data for individuals from a transition zone in Colorado. We also used higher coverage whole genome data for other nine hare species to understand the evolution of color associated alleles.
