VPRS 15926 Liabilities and Land Sales, St Arnaud District, Closer and Soldier Settlement

This series records a few details of early applications. Mainly, it records details relating to the liabilities for advances of closer and soldier settlers in the area administered by the St Arnaud District Land Office .Details given are the land file number, the advances file number, the name of the settler, the location and extent of the land and the amounts owing. These include those applicable after the revaluations and financial adjustments made in 1937. There are also lists of settlers with Stay orders under the Farmers Advances Act 1935 and details of the sales of land previously held under closer and soldier settlement leases.
